BUFFALO, NY- There's no set date for the next meeting of the Bills Stadium Committee, according to Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz.
"We have not scheduled a meeting with the working group, for the primary reason that AECOM, the consultant, has been hired by the state to look at all the options for potential sites, including the Ralph or renovating the Ralph. And it really makes no sense to have a meeting until we have that report in hand," Poloncarz, who is a member of the committee, said.
Thus far the committee, which consists of representatives from Erie County, New York State and the Bills, has only met once.
"I've always said there was no urgency to have a new stadium now, we have a ten year lease at which we're entering year two," Poloncarz said, "The idea by having this ten year lease was to give us the time necessary to determine what we needed to do."
The final report from AECOM is expected in July.
