NEW YORK- Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly is back in New York Thursday to undergo biopsies to determine if he is cancer free.
Last week, initial scans at Lenox Hill Hospital found no evidence that cancer cells were still present in his jaw and sinuses.
During an interview on ESPN Radio last Thursday, Kelly said the news was encouraging, but additional biopsies would be need to make sure the cancer is gone entirely.
Friends and family of Kelly shared these messages of encouragement on social media Thursday morning:
Biopsy results usually take one or two days to come back.
