BUFFALO, NY- The Buffalo Bills agreed Tuesday to pay out $3 million to fans who received multiple text messages from the team.

A Bills fan filed a class action lawsuit against the team in 2012 after he received 13 text messages from them. According to the fan the Bills were never supposed to send more than five, thus violating the terms of service.

The Bills maintain their text messaging program was in compliance with the law.

Bills fans will receive debit cards valued between $50 and $75 that can be redeemed at the team store at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
