ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills announced Thursday that Mary Wilson is now the controlling owner of the team.

Wilson's husband, Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. died last week. He was 95.

The Bills say that there a process will be established that will ensure the team complies with NFL rules and its commitment to Erie County and NYS.

Mary Wilson said in a released statement, "I have complete confidence in Russ Brandon, our President and CEO, to continue his duties of running the organization. General Manager Doug Whaley and Head Coach Doug Marrone remain empowered by Russ to run the football operation."

The team has said it will continue to operate it's day to day functions as normal.
