PITTSBURGH- Buffalo Bills QB EJ Manuel said there are no excuses for his performance during the Bills' 23-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"I'm not going to make the excuse saying the fact that we didn't have the run as well as we've had effectively. It's always a good thing to have the running game," said Manuel.
Sunday's game was Manuel's first since suffering an injury in week 5. Manuel completed 56% of his passes for 155 yards, one touchdown and one interception. The one touchdown however came late in the game after the outcome was already decided.
Bills head coach Doug Marrone said Manuel's absence from the game is to blame for some mistakes.
"The kid missed four weeks and just came back. He's trying his best. During the week he had a good week of practice," said Marrone.
