BUFFALO, N.Y.- Billy Baron and Javon McCrea have worked most of their lives to get to this point.
On Thursday night, 60 selections will be made in the NBA Draft. Baron (MAAC Player of the Year) and McCrea (MAC Player of the Year) hope they are two of them.
Baron starred at Canisius for two seasons under father-coach Jim Baron. Meanwhile, McCrea flourished at University at Buffalo.
Baron and McCrea are two talented players caught in the NBA matrix of high supply, low demand. If they do not get drafted, Baron and McCrea will have options for Summer League, which may lead to an NBA roster.
Another options is playing overseas. Baron's brother, Jimmy, has played in Italy, Russia and Turkey. Billy considers playing overseas "Plan B."
The NBA Draft is Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
