ROCHESTER, N.Y.-For the first time in school history Williamsville North will play for a New York State football championship. Tjhe Spartans beat. Union-Endicott 27-14 in the Class A semifinal game Friday night at Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester.

North opened the scoring in the first quarter. On fourth and goal from the nine yard line quarterback Ryan Majewski hit Derek Isler for the touchdown. It was the beginning of the big night for Majewski. In the second quarter North increased its lead to 14-nothing when Dean Thompson ran for a three yard touchdown at the 5:51 mark. With 1:41 remaining in the half Majewski threw his second touchdown pass of the night, this one a 36 yard touchdown to Zac Kelly. The Spartans led 20-0 at halftime.

Majewski who finished the night 9 for 15 for 204 yards and three touchdowns threw his third touchdown pass of the night with 9:03 left in the third quarter. He connected with Kolbe Hughes to put North up 27-0.

Union-Endicott scored twice in the fourth quarter with a pair of touchdown runs by Lucas Depofi to break the shutout.

With the win North will play Queensbury next Friday for the Class A state championship at the Carrier Dome. Kickoff will be at 3PM.
