At South there were two track athletes, Devon Patterson and Carolyn Hopkins, one field hockey player, Mia Martin and two soccer players, Steven Casey and Carissima Cutrona.
I-Prep's soccer star Ezana Kahsay will play soccer at the University of Akron.
St. Joe's sent one football player, Tyler Hill to Cincinnati. Grand Island's Jaskiran "jess" Dhaliwall will run track for UB.
Connolly Cup winner Jake Sisson from Jamestown will play football at Division II Edinboro outside of Erie, Pennsylvania. Another Western New York athlete, Erin O'Brien, from Kenmore East who played three sports in high school will run track for the Fighting Scots.
There are already more than a dozen Western New York athletes who will play their sports in college this fall. No doubt there are a number more who will given that opportunity before summer turns to fall.
