Warriors coach Pat Cullinan told Two On Your Side's Stu Boyar "we got off to a great start. The key for us is defense if we can get some stops and maybe some turnovers we have the guys who can score some points."

Its the first league loss for the Tigers. Cheektowaga improves to 7-4 overall and 5-2 in league play.

Zack Ciezki had 20 for the Warriors as did teammate Dominique Welch. Welch also hauled down 17 rebounds. For Amherst the top scorer was T.C. Brown.
