BUFFALO, N.Y.-In high school basketball Friday night the East Panthers were rude hosts. They beat Hutch-Tech 87-59.
Percy Bryant led the way with 25 points. Johnathon Lewis had 19 and Aurelio Ayala had 17 for East. East remains unbeaten with a perfect 6-0 record, including a 4-0 start in Yale Cup action.
While East was beating Hutch-Tech, the McKinley were taking on Williamsville North on Elmwood Avenue. The Macks came away with an 81-73 win. Sterling Taplin had 23 points for the Spartans, 19 of them in the first half. Jaylen Prophet led McKinley with 20 points. North drops to 5-3 while McKinley improves to 5-1.
