AMHERST, N.Y.-Saturday afternoon at the Northtown Center Williamsville East and West Seneca East battled to a 2-2 overtime tie in Federation Hockey action.

The Indians opened the scoring at the 10:47 mark of the second quarter when # 7 Justin Tynan fired home a wrist shot. The Indians added to their lead early in the third period when # 22 Sean Kline scored at the 13:41 mark.

It appeared that West Seneca was in control but with just over a minute Flames coach Mike Torrillo pulled his goaltender and his team responded. With one minute remaining in regulation Dylan Cicero got Williamsville East on the scoreboard.

Then with just 12.9 second showing on the clock the Flames got the tying goal. A clean faceoff win sent the puck to Austin Maciok who shot and scored to tie the game at two. Both teams had great chances in overtime but neither was able to score.

With the tie Williamsville East is 4-4-1 on the season. Torrillo told Two On Your Side's Stu Boyar "both teams played hard and fought to the end. I'm glad to see our never quit attitude. We had 15 shots in the third period. It was a good tie for us."
