EAGLE, N.Y.- An off-road motor vehicle accident early Sunday morning claimed the life of a 42-year-old Kenmore woman, the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office says.

Sherrie Green was with a group of friends who were off-road mudding on a private property off Horton Road, when the sheriff's office says one of the three jeeps being used became stuck in the mud.

All of the riders exited their vehicles to help get the stuck car out of the mud. The sheriff's office believes that during this time Green was accidentally struck by one of the jeeps.

Green was rushed to Wyoming County Hospital, where the sheriff's office says she died a short time later. Authorities say there are no signs of foul play and no charges are anticipated at this time.
