The dog's owner had been searching the area and questioning neighbors for several days before making the gruesome discovery Thursday afternoon.

Chautauqua County Sheriff Joseph Gerace told us that deputies found another dog buried on the property that Rearick claims belonged to him.

Rearick was charged under the Agriculture and Markets Law with overdriving, torturing and injuring animals. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Gerry Court.
