SILVER CREEK, NY- Two local school districts are getting the money they need to add more resource officers thanks to a gift from the Seneca Nation of Indians.

Both the Lakeshore and Silver Creek Schools are getting the extra funding to what officials say is increased drug activity and other problems in those schools.

"Just from some of the information that we get from some of our other SRO programs we see that there's been a decrease in the amount of drug related incidences at school, also with helping with the bullying issue, there's been a decrease in school fights," Nikki Seneca of the Seneca Nation said.

The funding for the officers is expected to last for the next three years.
