OLEAN, NY – A St. Bonaventure University student who had been reported missing since Friday night was found dead near the west entrance of the campus on Sunday, university officials report. There is no word yet on a cause of death as Cattauraugus County Sheriff's Department officials continue their investigation.
Tyler S. Davis of Rochester, a sophomore who lived in Devereux Hall, was last seen at a party at 84 East Union Street and walking toward campus Friday shortly after midnight. A search party consisting of campus and community volunteers was organized Sunday afternoon, we were told by the mother of a St. Bonaventure student who had joined the effort, but it was called off when they were told that Davis had died.
Tyler was a History major at the university.
A prayer service is being held at the University Chapel in Doyle Hall at 9 p.m. Sunday.

On Friday, Eric Michael Green, an 18-year-old Alfred State College student, was found dead after having been missing for four days. Police said no foul play is suspected in that case.
