BUFFALO, NY – A Buffalo man was arrested Thursday and charged with murder in the death of Russ A. Ross. The suspect is accused of causing the death of Ross, a man who fell from a second-story porch on Kenefick Avenue in South Buffalo about a month ago. Ross died in Erie County Medical Center on November 20.

Ross was unconscious when emergency personnel arrived at the address on November 8 at about 3:30 a.m. Police officers learned that the victim had either fallen or was thrown from the porch, according to a statement released by Buffalo Police Spokesman Mike DeGeorge on Friday. The death was ruled a homicide by the Erie County Medical Examiner's office on Thursday.

Homicide detectives arrested Nicholas J. Finnegan, 26, late Thursday afternoon. He has been charged with second-degree murder and was arraigned without bail in Buffalo City Court Friday morning.
