BUFFALO, N.Y. - Nearly 5,000 runners and walkers took part in the 14th annual Susan G. Komen WNY Race for the Cure Saturday morning.

The event kicked off with a parade of survivors across the stage in the Delaware Park rose garden.

More than $4 million dollars has been raised since the race was brought to Western New York.

Seventy-five percent of the money raised stays local. The remainder goes to Komen's national chapter for research support, but a lot of that money is funneled back to the area because research is done locally at Roswell Park and the University at Buffalo.

Two On Your Side is a proud sponsor of the Race for the Cure.
