WHEATFIELD, N.Y.- A Tonawanda woman is facing charges for striking a Niagara County Sheriff's Deputy's patrol car during a traffic stop Monday morning in the town of Wheatfield, according to the sheriff's office.
Investigators say a deputy was performing the traffic stop on Niagara Falls Boulevard when a car,driven by Lorrie Wolski, 25, hit the rear of the deputy's stopped car, causing it to hit the vehicle that the deputy had pulled over.
The deputy was treated and released from East Niagara Hospital-Lockport for a head laceration.
Wolski and the other driver were not hurt in the accident.
Wolski has been charged with failure to use due care for an emergency vehicle and moving from a lane unsafely.
