BUFFALO, N.Y.- The Erie County Harbor Development Corporation announced Monday the selection of Philadelphia based company Global Spectrum as the company that will manage the Canalside entertainment complex.
According to the ECHDC Global Spectrum will create 25 new full-time jobs.
The ECHDC said the selection was based on Global Spectrum's experience with similar projects.
"Canalside aspires to be a world-class destination. On the heels of several successful years, Canalside is transitioning from a public space to a true destination. Global Spectrum is a worldwide leader in venue management and can take us to that next level," said ECHDC chairman Robert Gioia.
Global Spectrum also operates the Conference Center Niagara Falls and Old Falls Street.
The ECHDC says they expect Global Spectrum to work with Buffalo Place to keep the Thursday concert series at Canalside.
