BUFFALO, NY - Even though it's summer, there are still a lot of potholes across Western New York left behind from the rough winter we had.
In Buffalo, crews actually had to adjust their paving schedule because of the work that's needed. On Thursday, we spoke with Public Works Commissioner Steve Stepniak about the impact winter road damage has had on the work the city had already planned to do.
"We've made some adjustments based on what the winter needs were," Stepniak said. "Again, as you all know, it was a rough winter. Some of those streets were changed around or moved around where we could to accommodate the needs of the city at this time."
The commissioner didn't have specifics but a representative from the city's communications department said they would be getting us their updated paving schedule soon.
When we get it, we will share it with you.
