BUFFALO, NY-- More big changes are on the way along the Buffalo waterfront.

The city kicked off construction Tuesday on an $11 million project along Ohio Street.

The redevelopment project will turn the street that connects the inner and outer harbors into a picturesque parkway lined with trees, lighting and walking paths.

The city is also hoping to increase development along the street. Commissioner of Public Works Steve Stepniak says most of the project will be done by the end of the year, with some smaller details finished up next spring.
