5.7 million U.S. World War II veterans were alive at the turn of the millennium. Today, just over one million remain.
But their stories and their actions live on in the world we know today.
On Friday, we heard from one of those veterans. He lives here in Western New York, but he was there on D-Day on a ship helping the wounded.
