BUFFALO, NY - Former Buffalo Sabres owner Tom Golisano has emerged as a potential buyer of the Bills.
A source close to Golisano tells 2 On Your Side's Scott Brown that Golisano's interest in buying the team is motivated by his desire to keep it in Western New York.
The source says Golisano has had conversations with the NFL about his interest in the team.
Recently, Golisano had dinner with Bills' President and CEO Russ Brandon.
According to Forbes Magazine, Golisano has a net worth of $2 billion. It's expected that the Bills could sell for more than one billion dollars.
After selling the Sabres, Golisano made an unsuccessful bid on the Los Angeles Dodgers.
