BUFFALO, N.Y. - Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz says there are many people interested in buying the Buffalo Bills.
Some we know and some we don't.
Friday, we asked Poloncarz about news we broke yesterday about Howard Milstein's interest. Milstein is a Manhattan real estate developer worth about $3.8 billion. Poloncarz would only say he's one of many who may make a bid.
"There's a plenty of people who are interested in buying the team from this area and outside this area including people that the media has never heard of. Mr. Milstein's name has just popped up in public discussion, but it's been out in private discussion. My goal is to keep this team in town. I'd prefer that it stay right here in Erie County because they're the Buffalo Bills, so it should be in Erie County, and that's a discussion for a later date."
Poloncarz would not reveal names of the other individuals or groups interested in purchasing the team.
