CRYSTAL BEACH, ON.- Fort Erie officials say the amazing ice caves along Crystal Beach that have attracted thousands of visitors are now off limits due to safety concerns.

Niagara Regional Police closed off the ice caves Monday after stress cracks were spotted and have since seen water on the ice.

Local enforcement agencies are warning people they should not go on the ice and patrols are occasionally checking to make sure no one is out there.

Niagara Regional Police also say they are considering going in and knocking some parts of the caves down.
