Town of Eden, NY- A man was sent to jail for the fifth time within a year for charges relating to driving under the influence of drugs, police said.

Eden police said they got a call about a vehicle driving erratically. Police were able to locate the car with David A Bemish, 53, behind the wheel.

Bemish resisted upon arrest. He was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated, two counts each of leaving the scene of a property damage incident, operating without insurance, resisting arrest, among other violations.

Following a December 17, 2013 arrest, he was released without bail on the condition that he not drive. Upon his arraignment this time around, the judge suspended Bemish's license.

This is one of five arrests for Bemish in the past year, for operating a vehicle while drug impaired.
