BUFFALO, NY--The city of Buffalo and town of Evans will be setting up daytime warming shelters around the city on Friday in anticipation of freezing temperatures.

A list of shelter locations in Buffalo and their hours of operation is below:

1). Autumnwood Senior Center, 1800 Clinton Street. (14206) Tele: 826-7895 – 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

2). Edward Saunders Center, 2777 Bailey Ave. (14215) Tele: 332-4381 – 8:00 to 4:00

3). FLARE, 307 Leroy, (14214) Tele: 838-6740, 8:30 to 4:30

4). Hispanics United – 254 Virginia (14201) Tele: 856-7110 – 8:30 to 4:30

5). Old First Ward, - 62 Republic St. (14204) Tele: 856-8613 – 9:00 am to 9:00 pm

6). Richmond / Summer Senior Center – 337 Summer Street - (14222) Tele: 885-3290 – 8:00 to 4:00pm

7). Salvation Army Golden Age Center - 960 Main Street – (14202) – Tele: 883-9800 ex: 260 – 7:30 to 4:00pm

8). TOSH Collins – 35 Cazenovia (14220) – Tele:828-1093 – 9:00 to 4:00pm

9). West Side Community Services – 161 Vermont St. (14213) Tele: 884-6616 – 8:30 to 5:30pm

In addition to the warming shelters a Code Blue will be in effect through Friday.

Warming shelters will be open from 8pm-8am at the Buffalo City Mission and St. Luke's Mission of Mercy during the code blue for those in need of shelter.

The City Mission is located at: 100 E. Tupper Street in Buffalo.

St .Luke's Mission is located at: 325 Walden Avenue in Buffalo.

The warming shelters in Evans will be at the following locations and open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.:

Lake Erie Beach Company- 9483 Lake Shore Rd

Evans Center Fire Company- 8298 Erie Road

Highland Company- 1 George Nablo Pkwy
