A Buffalo Police Officer is off the job after being arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
Detective Michael T. O'Brien was suspended without pay on Sunday after being arrested by Hamburg Police on Friday for DWI.
Buffalo Police officials will only say that an investigation by their Internal Affairs Department is underway.
2 On Your Side did tryto get a comment on the arrest from Hamburg Police, but we were told "It is a longstanding policy that they do not release and information on DWI arrest unless there is a felony, or an injury accident involved."
Officer O'Brien is scheduled to appear in Hamburg town court next Tuesday for a District Attorney appearance. Hamburg Attorney Daniel Chiaacchia will represent O'Brien.
