TORONTO (AP) - Toronto police say several people have been stabbed at an office building in the city's north end.

Police Const. David Hopkinson said Wednesday a 48-year-old male is in custody following the incident on the fourth or fifth floor of an office building, He says two people have been taken to the hospital and says one has serious injuries. He says between two and five people were hurt.

Police were called at about 9:30 a.m. with reports that "a man with scissors" had entered the business and began stabbing people.

It's not immediately known how many people are wounded or what the extent of the injuries.
