BUFFALO, N.Y.- Buffalo police are investigating a report of a suspicious man who approached a young girl Monday afternoon.

Police said the incident occurred at 4 p.m. Monday in the vicinity of Jewitt Parkway and Woodward Avenue.

According to detectives, a 10-year-old girl had just gotten off the school bus when the suspicious man began talking to her from his vehicle.

At one point, police said the man offer the young girl a ride home. Police say that's when the young girl got away.

Police describe the suspicious man as a white male, wearing round wired-rim glasses, with shoulder length black hair and wearing a dirty white tee-shirt.

The vehicle the suspicious man drove is described by police as a newer model, 4-door black car with tinted windows.
