BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Buffalo Police officers are investigating a shooting that occurred on Lonsdale Road, not far from the intersection of East Ferry and Jefferson Avenue, at about 2:15 a.m. Saturday morning. Two men were seriously injured and rushed to Erie County Medical Center for treatment.

On Sunday, Sylvester Buttrom,18, of Buffalo, died from his injuries. The other victim, whose name has not been released, remains in critical condition at ECMC.

Then, just after 2:30 a.m. Saturday, one man was killed and another wounded in a shooting that happened on Oakmont Avenue, in the Kensington-Bailey neighborhood.

Police say two men were hit by gunfire while they were in a vehicle. Carl Robinson, 42, of Buffalo, is the man who was killed. Jeremy Godwin, 32, also of Buffalo, was treated and released from ECMC.
