NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK -- It's a hotel project that we spent months holding leaders in Niagara Falls accountable about before the Governor stepped in to get it moving.

Niagara Falls Mayor Paul Dyster is now saying a formal agreement could be signed later this week.

Since the council approved the project after a long delay representatives for the city, USA Niagara and developer Mark Hamister have been hard at work on the contract for the 25 million dollar hotel.

"There's going to be a whole lot of work that has to be done by Hamister Development Corporation and we look forward to a groundbreaking sometime we hope in the spring," said Dyster.

Dyster says if all goes well work on the hotel should be done sometime in 2015.
