ORCHARD PARK, N.Y.-Defending State Champion Randolph beat Maple Grove 35-12 Friday night at Ralph WilsonStadium to repeat as Section 6 champions.Randolph will move on to the Far West Regionals in Rochester next weekend.

Maple Grove scored first in the game after a botched punt by Randolph. Maple Grove's Graham Nelson ran in a 8 yard touchdown which gave Maple Grove a 6-0 lead in the first quarter. Randolph quickly responded with a one yard touchdown catch by Devyn Nelson. Maple Grove's Jonah Tanner then caught a touchdown from quarterback Kyle Mayer which gave Maple Grove a 12-7 lead. Mayer was injured on the play and did not return to the game.

After the injury, Maple Grove's offense could not sustain drives and Randolph capitalized with a Chris Doubek 23 yard touchdown run and a five yard touchdown catch from Lucas Brown.Randolph led 21-12 at halftime.

Late in the third quarter Randolph's Devyn Nelson ran fora two yard touchdown to give Randolph a 28-12 lead. Randolph would score one more time in the fourth quarter as Nick Hetterbaugh catches a55 yard touchdown pass from quarterback Mitchell Maycock.

Randolph's running back Chris Doubek had 92 yards on 18 carries in the first half. He ran for a total of 154 yards on 31 carries and one touchdown. Quarterback Mitchell Maycock was 5-8 for 99 yards and three touchdowns.

Randolph will play a team from Section 5, Rochester next Friday night at Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester. Kickoff is scheduled for 5-pm..
