Bills head coach Doug Marrone had indicated all week long that if Thad Lewis (ribs) couldn't play at quarterback, he would be most comfortable going with rookie undrafted free agent Jeff Tuel.

That will in fact be the case as the Bills have announced Tuel as the starter here at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Lewis is among the Bills inactives.

Tuel is an undrafted rookie free agent from Washington State. He struggled when called upon after EJ Manuel was injured at Cleveland earlier this season. Tuel went 8/20 for 80-yards and an interception returned for a touchdown in a 37-24 loss.

Marrone's other option to start was Matt Flynn who the Bills acquired as a free agent after the injury to Manuel.
