Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller has been taking a cautious approach in dealing with a groin injury, but is expected to be ready for Thursday night's home game against Columbus.
"I knew it was pretty minor. I just was being cautious...so it was
the opportunity to get some rest. It justlingered a little longer.
I wanted to make sure to clear up some issues."
Miller suffered what general manager Darcy Regier called a minor lower body injury during a brilliant 45-save effort Friday night against the Ottawa Senators.
Sabres head coach Ron Rolston also expects to have center Cody Hodgson in the line-up after giving him the day off from practice on Wednesday. Rolston said they are "monitoring" some soreness, but said Hodgson would be good to go.
The Sabres are 0-3-1 to start the season after a 3-2 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday.
