UNDATED (AP) - Quarterback Blaine Gabbert will be a game time decision for Jacksonville's season opener against Kansas City. Coach Gus Bradley is concerned that Gabbert still has pain and trouble gripping the football due to a hairline fracture of his right thumb. The injury forced him to miss the final two games of the preseason. If Gabbert can't start, the Jaguars will go with backup Chad Henne (HEN'-ee) against the Chiefs.

In other NFL news:

-Rookie linebacker Barkevious Mingo will not play in the season opener for the Browns as he continues to recover from a bruised lung. Mingo was hospitalized for two days with the injury. He was the sixth overall pick in this year's draft.

- Jets receiver Santonio Holmes is listed as questionable for their opener against Tampa Bay Sunday. But coach Rex Ryan is optimistic that Holmes will be sufficiently recovered from a foot injury to play even on a limited basis.

- Vikings defensive end Kevin Williams will miss the first game of the season against Detroit Sunday due to a right knee injury. Rookie Sharrif Floyd will start in his place.

- Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Dallas. He's recovering from a surgically repaired lower back.
