BUFFALO, NY - Governor Cuomo was in WNY again this week to make an announcement regarding the future of the Peace Bridge.
The Governor announced that an agreement has been reached, and that the Buffalo Plaza will be redeveloped. $140 million will be slated for the projects.
Governor Cuomo has said he's tired of the project delays on the American side of the Peace Bridge. But, because of the agreement, he is backing off the threat to abolish the Authority.
The NYS legislature is calling for the end of the Peace Bridge Authority. It is calling for the PBA to be stripped of its powers and demand that the authority pay off its bonds within a year.
