BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Buffalo Sabres have announced that goaltender Jhonas Enroth has signed a newtwo year contract with the team.

The move was announced by the Sabres on the team twitter account.

Enroth was a restricted free agent. He could have signed a deal with another team but the Sabres would have had the right to match.

Enroth has been a part of the Sabres organization since 2008. The 24 year old from Sweden has played in 53 games for the team and recorded 21 victories.

In May, Enroth helped lead the Swedish national team to a gold medal in the World Hockey Championships.

Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier says he believes that Enroth has the talent needed to one day be a number one goalie in the NHL.
