ROCHESTER DEMOCRAT & CHRONICLE

Rory McIlroy, winner of the 2012 PGA Championship, had a busy day in Rochester Monday.

McIlroy, the No. 2 men's golfer in the world, played a practice round at Oak Hill Country Club Monday morning.

McIlroy shot a 67 during his practice round today, including an eagle on the par-4 14th.

"The real challenge here is taking advantage of your opportunities when they do come along," said McIlroy. "When I think of the PGA Championship, I think of golf courses like this."

"If I keep hitting the ball the way I know I can and start rolling some putts, hopefully I can get into the winner circle," he said.
McIlroy, 24, finished 57th at The Memorial tournament in Dublin, Ohio, over the weekend.
The 95th PGA Championship will take place at Oak Hill Country Club from Aug. 8 through 11.
