Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Dustin Brown and Trevor Lewis scored power- play goals just 22 seconds apart late in the third period as the Los Angeles Kings took a thrilling 4-3 win over the San Jose Sharks in Game 2 of this Western Conference semifinal series.
Jeff Carter had a goal and an assist while Drew Doughty also scored for the Kings, who now hold a 2-0 lead in this best-of-seven series. Jonathan Quick, who posted a shutout in Tuesday's 2-0 victory, made 28 saves in the win.
Brad Stuart had a goal and an assist while Patrick Marleau and Marc-Edouard Vlasic also scored for the Sharks, who got 27 stops from Antti Niemi in the loss.
San Jose played the game, and the rest of the series, without forward Raffi Torres as he was suspended for the rest of this semifinal match from an illegal hit to the head of Kings forward Jarret Stoll in Game 1 on Tuesday.
This series now heads to San Jose for the next two games with Game 3 set for Saturday night.
