BUFFALO, NY - It looks like the Sabres have relieved two of the top members of their coaching staff from their duties.

James Patrick confirmed to 2 On Your Side's Adam Benigni that he was fired. A separate source confirmed to Benigni that they Sabres have also relieved Assistant Coach Kevyn Adams.

All this comes two days after the team announced Ron Rolston would be the head coach going forward.

Patrick told Adam, "I loved my time in Buffalo...and I loved working for Lindy." Lindy Ruff was fired in March after 16 seasons with the team.

Patrick playedsix seasons with the Sabres and signed on as an assistant coach in 2006. He took over for an injured Lindy Ruff behind the bench for several games of the 2011-2012 season.

So far, sources tell Adam that other members of the coaching staff retain their jobs.
