Niagara junior goaltender Carsen Chubak has decided to turn pro, signing a deal with the Adirondack Phantoms of the American Hockey League.

Head coach Dave Burkholder confirmed the signing via a statement on the school's website.

"We are very happy for Carsen and wish him well with his professional endeavors...The Phantoms are getting a very dedicated and focused individual."

Chubak helped the Purple Eagles reach the NCAA Tournament this season. He was also a top ten finalist for the Hobey Baker Award.
