Boston, MA (Sports Network/wgrz.com) - As of late Monday night, the Sabres remained scheduled to fly to Boston for Wednesday night's game against the Bruins despite the postponement and cancellation of games Monday and Tuesday night at TD Garden.

Monday's game between the Boston Bruins and Ottawa Senators has been postponed in the aftermath of the explosions that occurred atMonday's Boston Marathon.

The contest will be rescheduled, with the date and time to be announced at a later date.

The NHL said in a statement, "The National Hockey League wishes to express its sympathy to all affected by the tragic events that took place in Boston earlier this afternoon."

Also, Tuesday night's NBA game between the Celtics and Pacers was canceled in the aftermath of the bombings.
