ATLANTA - The first question to Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim in his news conference after Saturday night's season-ending loss to Michigan was about his future and when he'll announce if he's returning next season. That annoyed the Hall of Fame coach, who had addressed the issue of his retirement a couple days ago by saying he had no plans to walk away.

"Why would you ask that question? I expect it from you. I know you. Why ask that question? Are you going to ask (Michigan coach) John Beilein that question?" Boeheim said.

After another brief exchange, the 68-year-old Boeheim said, "I've never indicated at any time that I'm not coming back next year - ever."

He told reporters earlier in the week he has no plans to retire and expects to coach the Orange in their first season in the ACC now that they've departed the Big East Conference.
