BUFFALO, N.Y.-St. Joe's won the Niagara Cup with a 3-2 win over Bishop Timon Monday night at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo.

The Marauders took a 2-nothing lead after two periods with both goals coming on the power play. In the second period # 8 Dennis Gilbert drove to the net and buried the shot to give the Marauders the two goal lead.

However in the third period the Tigers came roaring back to tie it at 2. Connor Fields got the Tigers on the board first and then # 17 Trey McGee tied up for the Tigers.

With 5:31 remaining in the third period the Marauders took advantage of a Timon turnover to score the game winning goal. # 22 Zachary Klapp scored to give St. Joe's the Catholic school championship.

The Marauders will play Saturday night for the Catholic state championship. St. Joe's has not lost in New York State all season. Their only two losses this season came at a tournament in Connecticut.
