BUFFALO, N.Y.-On Tuesday night McKinley clinched its second straight Yale Cup beating Hutch Tech at home 80-44. After the senior night jitters cleared the Macks took control of the game, and led 17-8 at the end of the first quarter.

McKinley Head Coach Zaire Dorsey said " I thought we started off fast because it was senior night, but we eventually settled down. I was most impressed with our defense tonight, we held them to 19 after one half, and 44 for the game, they didn't have an answer for the different looks we gave them".

The Macks stifling defense held Hutch Tech without a double digit scorer, but senior # 3 Josh Roosevelt led the way with 8 points. McKinley Senior # 15 Marcus Morris led all scorers with 21 points, and fellow teammate Senior # 2 Dae Quan Warren added 12 points.

Coach Dorsey said of winning two straight Yale Cups titles, " Were excited, this is the first time in the history of McKinley, from what I can remember, that we won back to back yale cups, its a great accomplishment".

This win improves McKinley's overall record to 14-3, and 11-0 in Yale Cup play. McKinley's last game of the season before Sectionals is Thursday at Bennett High School at 6 PM.
