Ames, IA (Sports Network) - Will Clyburn scored a game-high 19 points as the Iowa State Cyclones blew away the Oklahoma Sooners, 83-64, in Big 12 Conference action at Hilton Coliseum.
Also scoring in double figures for the Cyclones (16-6, 6-3 Big 12) were Chris Babb and Melvin Ejim with 12 points apiece, the latter also clearing seven rebounds as the hosts won for the third time in the last four outings.
The Sooners (14-7, 5-4) were paced by Andrew Fitzgerald who tallied 12 points and seven rebounds before picking up his fifth personal foul. Isaiah Cousins and Cameron Clark both accounted for 10 points off the bench as the team suffered a second straight setback.
Oklahoma moved out to a four-point lead early in the meeting, but the Cyclones soon took over as they shot 51.5 percent from the floor, including 8-of-16 behind the 3-point line, en route to a 44-31 advantage at the break.
In the second half Iowa State made good on 50 percent from the field as it cruised to the 19-point win.
Oklahoma cleared 21 offensive rebounds, compared to just seven for the Cyclones, but at the same time the Sooners shot only 36.6 percent from the floor and 3-of-16 beyond the arc.
