Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Alec Brown scored a career-high 23 points to lead the Green Bay Phoenix to a 74-54 victory over the Milwaukee Panthers in a Horizon League clash at the Klotsche Center.
Brown shot 9-of-18 from the field and 4-of-4 from the foul line for Green Bay (11-10, 5-3 Horizon), which has won four of its last five contests. Keifer Sykes added 16 points and five assists and Brennan Cougill had 12 points for the visitors.
For Milwaukee (5-16, 1-6), Jordan Aaron netted 20 points, Demetrius Harris tallied 12 points and eight rebounds, and Paris Gulley scored 10 points. J.J. Panoske grabbed 10 boards for the Panthers, who have lost three in a row.
In an evenly-matched first half, Green Bay shot 12-of-30 from the floor and Milwaukee connected on 10-of-24. Both teams made three 3-pointers, and the Phoenix went into halftime with a 28-27 lead.
With the game tied at 41-41 with less than 14 minutes to play, Green Bay ripped off a 13-0 run and it never looked back from there.
The Phoenix won the battle on the boards, 42-35, and they committed just eight turnovers to the Panthers' 12.
