Grand Forks, ND (Sports Network) - Troy Huff scored 18 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as North Dakota registered a 65-47 win over the Eastern Washington Eagles in Big Sky Conference play at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.
Aaron Anderson added 17 points, six rebounds and six assists for North Dakota (6-10, 3-4 Big Sky) as the team won for the second time in as many outings. Jamal Webb accounted for 11 points and five steals as well.
The Eagles (4-13, 2-5), losers of two straight and four of the last five, were led by Martin Seiferth and Venky Jois with 14 and 12 points, respectively, the latter clearing 14 boards.
UND opened the contest on an 8-0 run, but the Eagles responded with a 10-0 scoring burst immediately after in order to take the lead and eventually carry a 29-27 advantage into the break.
EWU fell apart in the second half, shooting just 7-of-28 from the floor, including 1-of-15 on the perimeter, as the hosts ran away with the 18-point win.
With just over 13 minutes remaining in regulation, Huff reached 1,000 points for his career, the 32nd player in program history to reach that plateau.
Eastern Washington played without guards Kevin Winford and Jeffrey Forbes who were injured in an auto accident in Washington.
