BUFFALO, N.Y.- Alden put together 28 points unanswered to easily handle East Rochester-Gananda in the Class B Far West Regional 35-7 and keep its undefeated season going.

The Bulldogs strategy was pretty obvious throughout the game as they wanted to run #21 Corey Barczykowski as often as they could.

Barczykowski had 273 yards rushing on 24 carries along with three touchdowns so the strategy turned out to work pretty well.
Alden came up big defensively in the clutch moments as well, holding East Rochester to 0-9 on third down conversions.

The first of Barczykowski's three touchdowns came on a 2-yard scamper on Alden's first possession of the game. Alden stayed ahead 7-0 for most of the first half until East Rochester got on the board with a touchdown of their own. With 1:54 left in the first half #81 Andrew Fischer received a 7-yard touchdown pass from #14 Zach Hauser to tie the game at 7.

That wouldn't last long as #24 Austin Hopcia caught a touchdown pass from #13 Brian Stoldt with 56 seconds left in the first half to give the Bulldogs the 14-7 lead at halftime.

Barczykowski burned the Bombers defense once again for a 21-yard touchdown burst with 6:38 left in the third quarter. But his day wasn't done there. Barczykowski would tack on another 29-yard touchdown run with 8:28 left in the fourth to make it 28-7.
Alden would add another touchdown after East Rochester botched the kickoff and gave the Bulldogs the ball at the Bombers six yard line. Stoldt would punch it in himself from there and give Alden the 35-7 lead that would end up as the final score.

The Bulldogs finished the game with 418 rushing yards in total.
"We did a great job on the offensive line," says Alden Head Coach Dick Diminuco. "I think Corey will be the first to tell you that."
Stoldt finished 9-12 passing for 104 yards including a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown.
East Rochester finishes the season 8-2, after winning a Section V title for the first time in 27 years.

Alden goes to 11-0 and will move on to the state semifinals next weekend at Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester.
"We're very excited. It's a place we've never been before," says Coach Diminuco.

They will take on Maine-Endwell, the 2011 Class A state champions, who defeated Cazenovia earlier on Saturday.
